Haier HVAC backed Oxted Hockey Club make national finals

Oxted Hockey club, who play in the English Premier Division for Field Hockey in the UK, has been supported by Haier HVAC for the last 3 years and are based local to the Haier UK office which is in Whyteleafe, Surrey.

Originally promoted to the Premier league in 2021, since then they have finished 7th for 3 consecutive years, this year however they have exceeded previous successes and reach the Final 4 play offs this weekend hosted in Nottingham.

The ‘play offs’ weekend, encompasses 2 semi-finals on the Saturday and then finals on the Sunday, after which the top 3 teams will advance to represent England in the European competition next year.

This is on top of the indoor team being promoted to the Premier division for next year.

Oxted HC President Simon Dobson commented "Small clubs like ours that survives on volunteers for everything also need some financial help when playing at this level with National travel and playing against opponents with professional players and some serious playing budgets. Whilst we do make some money from match day attendances this does not cover all the costs so Haier HVACs support over the last 3 years has been invaluable, enabling us to add GPS trackers for performance monitoring as well as camera equipment for video analysis and live streaming of matches."

Bob Cowlard Haier HVAC CEO added:

"We support a multitude of Sports both amateur and professional as well as individual athletes to enable them to compete to the best of their ability. Sports sponsorship is important to us as it matches well with our approach to smart, healthy and professional climate solutions. We are extremely proud of what Oxted HC has achieved and wish them all the best for the finals, and hope that we will see them carrying our brand on their shirts in Europe next year."
