LES RÉSULTATS DES TESTS DU MODULE UVC PRO RÉVÈLENT DES NIVEAUX D'EFFICACITÉ ÉLEVÉS
Haier Air Conditioning has announced the launch of its new Haier UVC Pro module which has been tested and proven to be effective in inhibiting the Novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) with up to 99.991 per cent efficiency in an air conditioner indoor unit in a space of 6.7m3. (*1)
The Haier Expert Indoor Unit range launched in the UK and Europe earlier this month includes for the first time the new UVC Pro module which generates plasma to aid sterilisation for a healthier, cleaner, room air environment.
The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has affected millions of people worldwide and Haier has been at the forefront of improving indoor air quality and addressing risks associated with air pollution issues.
“The UVC Pro module has evolved from the Haier UVC module developed last year. Equipped with advanced technology and generating plasma to aid sterilisation for a healthier and cleaner room air, the UVC Pro can also emit specific UV rays from the right to the left near the air inlet where room air circulates into the AC.
Haier’s European HAVC Managing Director Bob Cowlard said: “We’ve been working closely with the Texcell professional laboratory in Paris since 2020. Tests were conducted earlier this year on the Haier UVC Pro module at the laboratory. We are delighted to report that in the laboratory test environment the UVC Pro module effectively inhibited SARS-CoV-2 with an efficiency up to 99.991 per cent in an air conditioning indoor unit in a space of 6.7m3. This works by damaging the structure of DNA and RNA – preventing the micro-organism performing vital cellular functions.”
Haier is driven to develop new technologies which focus on creating comfortable, healthy and professional air solutions for users worldwide. Haier continues to place a high emphasis on technological innovation promoting healthy air, including, Self-Clean, Super-IFD Sterilisation and Nano-Aqua Sterilisation technology.
The R&D teams at Haier continue to pursue the potential of UVC technology to address the risks associated with air pollution – including new pathogenic micro-organisms – highlighting the importance of innovation in the HVAC industry and striving constantly to prioritise the end users’ needs.
