Haier's MRV5 solution modernizes an office building in the aeronautics sector on the French Riviera

In the South of France, a company active in the aerospace, aeronautics, and security sectors recently undertook a complete renovation of its air conditioning and heating system for the entire third floor of its offices.
Faced with the aging of the existing system, a chilled water network based on fan coil units, the client sought a solution capable of combining performance, integration flexibility, reliability, and energy efficiency, all within a tight timeframe. Haier’s MRV5 technology emerged as the most appropriate solution.
The project aimed to meet a power requirement of approximately 120 kW for air conditioning and heating of the East and West zones of the building. The installed system includes two 22 HP MRV5H outdoor units, 61.5 kW each, connected to thirty-one 4 Way Compact Cassettes and two Round-Way Cassettes. All the indoor units were distributed throughout the offices and meeting rooms, ensuring even air distribution and optimal comfort for occupants. Thanks to direct expansion technology, the system allows for precise zone-specific control, without the hydraulic constraints associated with chilled water circuits.
Artifex Climatis stated :
“The installation, completed in just two months, proceeded without major difficulties despite the considerable length of the refrigeration networks. A preliminary technical meeting, between the Haier teams and the Artifex Climatis installers, made it possible to anticipate the site’s critical points and ensure a smooth deployment”
Haier's choice is based on several key advantages: remarkable installation flexibility, excellent value, high performance in both heating and cooling modes (EER 3.43 and COP 3.46 for the West zone, EER 3.49 and COP 3.47 for the East zone), and quiet operation of 29 dB(A) for the 4.5 kW Cassettes and 30 dB(A) for the 5.6 kW Cassettes, particularly appreciated in tertiary environments. With its quick and easy commissioning, the system uses R410A refrigerant and relies on scalable centralized management, which allows the East and West wings of the building to be managed independently while providing a global view of the installation.
Thanks to this interface, the user can program temperatures, time slots, operating modes and access rapid diagnostics of the units in the event of an anomaly. This centralized management is a major asset to reduce energy consumption, by allowing more precise management based on space occupancy rates and actual usage. By integrating this intelligent dimension, the MRV5 system not only becomes a comfort tool, but also a lever for increased energy performance.
The use of R410A refrigerant ensures good energy efficiency while maintaining controlled costs for the client. Although future regulatory changes are anticipated, the choice of R410A remains relevant because it has the advantage of being non-flammable, which is essential for the company's business. Haier also supports its partners in future fluid upgrades, with a range constantly evolving towards lower GWP refrigerants. In this case, the MRV5H is part of a proven performance approach, with full inverter control, continuous power modulation, and reliability adapted to the constraints of intensive commercial use.

For Artifex Climatis, this installation marks their first collaboration with Haier MRV systems, and the feedback has been very positive. They highlighted the ease of integration, the quality of the equipment, and the responsiveness of the technical support. As for the aeronautics company, it particularly appreciated the response to initial requirements, without budget overruns or schedule delays. This customer satisfaction is based as much on the intrinsic qualities of the product as on the working method, site preparation, and the availability of the Haier teams before and during installation.
This project is part of a broader energy optimization initiative for the commercial sector, where industrial players are seeking reliable, scalable, and economically viable solutions to reduce their carbon footprint without compromising user comfort. With its MRV5 solution, Haier offers a competitive alternative to the industry's established brands, combining technological innovations, ease of use, and local technical support. The range's modular approach also allows for future expansions or connections to other Haier systems, for multi-site management or centralized remote control.
