New R290 Range
Haier are proud to introduces its new high temperature R290 heating range, which includes the all new Super Aqua A2W Monobloc, All-In-One, Hydrosplit and Heat Pump Water Heaters. Having this wide range within the portfolio gives our installers flexible application and installation options for both space heating and domestic hot water.
The Haier Air to Water Heat Pump range uses free renewable energy from the outside air as a heat source for space heating and providing domestic hot water. This energy efficient and environmentally friendly solution substantially reduces energy consumption, running cost and CO₂ emissions in heating compared to conventional oil and gas boilers.
The system draws energy from the outside air to create a high efficiency solution for your needs, with efficiencies of over 3:1 for power input.
By utilising the low GWP R290 refrigerant, our units can achieve market leading water temperatures, upto 80⁰C leaving water temperature for the Super Aqua Heat Pump range and 65 ⁰C for the M7 & M8 Heat Pump Water Heaters.
With a GWP of only 3, R290 is the environmentally friendly alternative to other refrigerants emphasising Haier’s commitment to developing solutions for a more sustainable future.
Thanks to the excellent thermodynamic performance of R290 and advanced heat pump technology, the new A2W high temperature series helps to reduce carbon emissions and achieve carbon neutrality goals and benefits from an ultra-low Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 3. The R290 ATW range from Haier delivers A+++ market leading energy efficiencies as well as 80⁰C high leaving water temperatures. Encompassed by an environmentally friendly refrigerant and full connectivity via the hOn application. A range that dedicates itself to providing the right solution for a variety of needs – setting the standard for the future of sustainable heating.
Our new Hydrosplit Heat Pump, powered by R290 refrigerant is suitable for a wide range of applications, and is available from 4kW - 16kW sizes. With market leading A+++/A+++ performances, the new Hydro Split Heat Pump offers a wide Operating Range, with the ability to run normally even at -28°C.
Hydrosplit heat pumps are a form of monobloc, as the refrigerant circuit is contained within the outdoor unit. Hydrosplit units also incorporate an indoor unit which manages the building’s hydraulic heating system. As all the components such as pump, three-way valve, expansion vessel, control unit and electric flow and back-up heaters are contained within the indoor unit, there is no need to install these separately with a hydrosplit.
The New R290 All-in-One A2W Heat Pump, with integrated storage for instantaneous supply of domestic hot water, available from 4kW - 16kW sizes. The compact 590mm x 590mm design is easy to install especially when space is limited. The indoor unit has an intuitive full colour display integrated touch controller, with multiple function settings. The indoor unit is complete with a 200L water tank, a stainless-steel heat exchanger for DHW production and a 24L expansion tank.
The range provides A+++ market leading energy efficiencies as well as 80⁰C high leaving water temperatures. Encompassed by an environmentally friendly refrigerant and full connectivity via the hOn application. A range that dedicates itself to providing the right solution for a variety of needs – setting the standard for the future of sustainable heating.
Introducing Haier’s New R290 air source Heat Pump Water Heater (HPWH), which adopts advanced full-inverter heat pump technology to provide a solution that delivers high efficiency, stability, and quietness. Compared to traditional electric storage water heaters it can save up to 75% of energy for domestic hot water in households, making it equally suitable for renovation and new constructions.
The HPWH range comes in 80L-250L wall mount & floor standing options, delivering high energy efficiencies as well as 65⁰C high leaving water temperatures.
Why choose R290?
R290 offers a future for sustainable heating within the heat pump sector. With theability to achieve higher temperatures, this refrigerant is suitable for the UK and EU markets. R290 can achieve high efficiency levels with A+++ energy ratings across the Haier Heat Pump range. Higher efficiency leads to lower costs for businesses andconsumers. R290’s excellent heat transfer properties, non-toxic properties, and
compatibility with many existing refrigeration systems make it an attractive solution.
R290 is highly energy efficient and can lead to reduced energy costs for businesses. Its excellent heat transfer properties, non-toxic properties, and compatibility with many existing refrigeration systems make it an attractive solution.
R290 is a more environmentally friendly refrigerant with a global warming potential of just 3, compared to that of R32 which is 675. With the urgent and necessary transition to greener energy sources, the use of R290 for both space and domestic water heating is an important step to achieving a sustainable future.
R290 is seen as a long-term environmentally friendly option. It reduces the fluid load by60%, which further reduces its carbon footprint.
With R290 able to achieve higher efficiencies, this will lead to saving on energy costs. Due to the thermodynamic properties and its high performance, electricity consumption will be lower and we will see a direct reduction of electricity costs forour end-users.
R290 Series features
Our solutions are designed to be energy efficient, enabling to significantly reduce costs and maintain optimal performance. By integrating advanced technology, our systems contribute to a more sustainable environment.
By using R290, a serious alternative to high GWP gases, the new range offers promising natural and non-toxic properties with reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
High leaving water temperature of 80°C is guaranteed without using a backup heater when the outdoor temperature is higher than -15°C.
The dual power heating mode* of air & electric energy can be started at the same time to improve heating efficiency in case of low temperature or urgent need of a large amount of hot water, achieving fast heating in a short time. *Available on the HPWH series
The outdoor units will auto heat to 15°C when the ambient temperature reaches below 2°C and the water temperature is below 7°C.
The hOn app enables to take control of all the Haier appliances in your Smart Home from your smartphone or tablet. The app allows the management of all the basic functions of the units.
When various rooms in a house requires different temperatures, a two-zone temperature control system can be implemented through a separate heating or cooling circuit. This setup allows for the precise adjustment and maintenance of two distinct water temperatures, ensuring each zone can be independently regulated to meet specific comfort needs.
The system’s intelligent control not only enhances comfort but also promotes energy efficiency by ensuring that only the necessary zones are heated or cooled to the desired temperature, avoiding energy waste.
The control is managed through a sleek, modern black mural controller featuring a vibrant colour screen. This user-friendly interface allows for easy monitoring and adjustment of settings in both zones, giving users complete control over their environment. The clear visuals and intuitive design make it simple to set schedules, monitor performance, and optimize energy savings, all while maintaining optimal comfort in different areas of the building. This advanced control system ensures smart energy management, reducing overall consumption while maximizing comfort and convenience.
What is an Air-To-Water (A2W) unit?
An Air-to-Water (A2W) heat pump works by using heat from the outdoor air to warm water, which is then used for heating homes and buildings. Here's how it functions:
The outdoor unit absorbs heat from the air, even in colder temperatures. This heat is transferred to a refrigerant, which is then compressed to raise its temperature. The hot refrigerant passes through a heat exchanger, where it transfers the heat to water. This heated water is then circulated through radiators, underfloor heating, or used as domestic hot water for everyday needs like showers and sinks.
One of the main advantages of an A2W system is its energy efficiency, as it draws heat from the air instead of generating it directly. This makes it much more efficient compared to traditional heating systems, and it can also help lower electricity bills. Additionally, many A2W units can reverse the process to provide cooling in the summer, making them a versatile option for year-round comfort.
