Haier sponsors GB Olympic hockey ace
Haier has agreed a sponsorship deal with Great Britain Olympic hockey player Zach Wallace. Zach (21) has more than 50 international caps and is viewed as one of our most promising young hockey players. He is all set to represent Great Britain in the Olympic Games taking place in Japan next month.
Haier HVAC Solutions are a global leader in comfort cooling offering residential, commercial and applied air conditioning solutions. They include premium features such as wi-fi as standard and the newly certified UVC module which inhibits the Covid-19 virus.
Zach is delighted that he will receive financial backing from Haier at such an important time in his career. “It will make a huge difference,” he explained. “Hockey players aren’t like professional footballers – we do not enjoy a luxury lifestyle. Having this support from Haier will allow me to go out and train properly and focus on my game. We are a young, quick team and have every chance of doing well at the Olympics.”
Attacking midfielder Zach is a full-time hockey player who will also move to the HGC club in the Netherlands to play his hockey in the toughest league in Europe. He sees himself as a creative performer on the hockey field and says Great Britain’s superb team spirit will be its X-factor when it comes to taking on fancied teams like Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands at the Olympics.
