Haier HVAC Helps Deliver Comfortable Climate Control for New Starbucks Store
Project Overview
As part of the development of a new Starbucks store, North East Cooling was appointed to deliver the air conditioning installation for the main customer seating area and the manager’s office located back of house.
Working to a tight programme, the project required an efficient and reliable climate control solution that could be installed and commissioned within the timescale set for the wider store fit-out.
Haier HVAC equipment was selected to provide comfortable temperature control throughout the key areas of the new store, combining dependable performance with straightforward installation and control.
The Challenge
The primary requirement was to provide effective heating and cooling for both the main customer area and the manager’s office.
As with any new retail and hospitality development, maintaining the project programme was particularly important. The complete air conditioning installation and commissioning needed to be carried out within the two-week period allocated for the HVAC works.
The selected solution therefore needed to provide reliable climate control while also being straightforward for the installation team to fit, commission and operate.

North East Cooling was responsible for the installation and commissioning of the air conditioning systems within the new Starbucks store.
The team was required to coordinate its work alongside the wider store development programme, ensuring the HVAC installation was completed without delaying other trades or the planned opening schedule.
The Haier Solution
For the main customer and dining area, two Haier cassette systems were selected to provide even air distribution throughout the space.
The installation included:
- 2 x AB105S2SR1FA(H) indoor cassette units
- 2 x 1U105S2SQ1FA outdoor units
- 1 x HW-SA201ABK controller, providing control of both systems
For the manager’s office, a Haier Revive wall-mounted system was installed:
- 1 x AS35RBAHRA-4 Revive indoor unit
- 1 x 1U35YESFRA-4 outdoor unit
This combination provided a practical solution for the different requirements of the store, with cassette units supporting the larger open-plan customer area and the wall-mounted Revive system providing dedicated climate control for the smaller back-of-house office.
Installation
Despite the wider project allowing two weeks for the air conditioning works, North East Cooling completed the on-site installation in just three days.
The installation progressed smoothly, with no significant complications encountered during the works.
The straightforward installation and commissioning process helped North East Cooling remain comfortably within the project programme while ensuring the systems were ready ahead of the store opening.
