Hadjiforados Office Complex - Local Government Organization of Larnaka
Project Overview
The District Local Government Organization of Larnaka needed a complete HVAC solution for its new offices at the Hadjiforados Office Complex. The brief was clear: deliver reliable year-round comfort, strong energy efficiency, low noise levels, and a modern aesthetic suited to a contemporary working environment.
With the demands of the Mediterranean climate, the system also had to handle high summer cooling loads while keeping running costs under control. To meet these requirements, Haier delivered an integrated solution combining MRV5-H systems, Revive Plus split units, and a heat recovery ventilation (ERV)network for efficient heating, cooling, and fresh air supply throughout the building.

The Challenge
The project required a fully integrated solution for cooling, heating, and ventilation across multiple office spaces.
High seasonal efficiency, the ability to support long piping distances, and ultra-quiet indoor operation were all essential. Fresh air supply also had to be incorporated without increasing energy losses, making ERV integration a key part of the design. Installation added further complexity.
MRV cassette units and ERV systems had to be fitted within restricted ceiling voids while still allowing access for servicing and maintenance. On the roof, high capacity outdoor units needed to be lifted and positioned safely using a specialised crane. All of this had to be completed within a demanding four-month programme.

The Solution
Haier designed a system that
combined capacity, control,
and efficiency.
The outdoor installation included four MRV5-H
modules with a total capacity of 64 HP (181 kW),
supported by two Revive Plus split units providing
an additional 10 kW. Together, these systems deliver
dependable heating and cooling performance across
the entire office complex.
Inside the building, 38 MRV full-size and mini cassette
units were installed, along with two wall-mounted
Revive Plus units, ensuring consistent comfort in all
office areas. For ventilation, six ERV units were added
to provide a total fresh air exchange rate of 5,350 m3/h.
To give both occupants and facility managers full
control, each indoor unit was paired with an individual
HW-SA201ABK wired controller. In addition, two
central HCSA164DBT controllers were installed to
allow building-wide monitoring, energy optimisation,
and coordination between the ventilation and MRV
systems.
Despite the technical and logistical demands of the
project, installation was completed successfully within
the four-month schedule.
Careful planning ensured the precise placement of
cassette and ERV units within limited ceiling space,
while rooftop installation of the outdoor units was
carried out safely and efficiently with specialist lifting
equipment. Haier’s technical team also provided
on-site commissioning support, ensuring every
unit was fully operational and correctly integrated
before the The finished system provides reliable,
high-performance climate control throughout the
Hadjiforados Office Complex, even during peak
summer conditions. At the same time, Full DC Inverter
technology helps reduce energy consumption and
improve seasonal efficiency.
The Result
The finished system provides reliable, high performance
climate control throughout the
Hadjiforados Office Complex, even during peak
summer conditions. At the same time, Full
DC Inverter technology helps reduce energy
consumption and improve seasonal efficiency.
The integrated ERV network delivers
a continuous supply of fresh air while
minimising thermal losses, contributing to
a healthier and more comfortable indoor
environment. Employees benefit from quiet
operation and individual room control, while
facilities management gains the flexibility of
centralised oversight and more efficient energy
use. The compact outdoor unit design also
maximises valuable rooftop space without
sacrificing performance.
Haier was selected for its performance, energy
efficiency, and advanced system connectivity.
The MRV5-H platform offers strong cooling
capacity in demanding Mediterranean
conditions while helping to reduce operational
costs. Its compact outdoor footprint, seamless
ERV integration, and advanced control options
made it the ideal fit for a modern office
development.
Just as important was Haier’s local technical
expertise. From logistics and installation
support to on-site commissioning and
after-sales service, Haier helped ensure the
project was delivered on time and with
complete confidence.
