Haier strenghtens its commitment to sustainable commercial heating with new high-efficiency ATW monobloc heat pump.

New R290 air-to-water solution delivers up to 40 kW of heating capacity with A+++ efficiency for commercial applications across Europe.

10/05/2026 – As commercial buildings across Europe continue to prioritise energy efficiency, sustainability and lower operating costs, Haier is expanding its portfolio of professional climate solutions with the launch of its new R290 commercial air-to-water (ATW) monobloc heat pump. Designed to deliver reliable, high-performance heating while supporting the transition towards lower-carbon building services, the new solution combines efficiency, flexibility and intelligent energy management in a single system.

Developed for applications including offices, hotels, restaurants, gyms and small commercial buildings, the new range is available in capacities of 26, 30, 35 and 40 kW. It provides a comprehensive solution for space heating, Cooling, domestic hot water (DHW) production giving building owners and facility managers a solution to meet diverse comfort and operational requirements through a single integrated platform.

It is possible for the unit to be cascaded up to eight units. Offering a scalable solution for larger projects and buildings with higher capacity demands with up to 320kW capacity.

Delivering efficient, low-carbon heating Commercial HP

With the heating sector playing a central role in Europe's energy transition, businesses are increasingly seeking solutions that can reduce both energy consumption and environmental impact without compromising performance or safety.

Haier's new commercial ATW heat pump addresses these requirements through intelligent control technologies designed to maximise seasonal efficiency and adapt to real operating conditions.

The new unit is fitted with a refrigerant leak detector, refrigerant separator alongside a fully sealed electrical control box.

The commercial range maintains 2 core wiring the same as the existing Haier residential heat pump range. This makes installation consistent and easy to follow. Zone control allows flexibility and reassurance when it comes to climate control, ensuring any environment it comfortable depending on the users needs.

The system uses the natural refrigerant R290 (propane), supporting the industry's move towards lower-GWP technologies while delivering excellent performance. With energy efficiency ratings of up to A+++ and SCOP values of up to 4.91, the new ATW heat pump provides highly efficient operation under real-world conditions.

The unit is also capable of producing hot water temperatures of up to 80°C, making it suitable for both new-build and renovation projects, as well as commercial applications with significant domestic hot water requirements, including hospitality, leisure and sports facilities.

Heat Pump Product Manager Richard Sherlock said:

“This product represents a significant step in the expansion of the Haier Air-to-water portfolio, enabling us to address a broader range of commercial heating and cooling applications. Designed with simplicity, flexibility and efficiency in mind, the unit integrates seamlessly with existing systems, providing a practical pathway for organisations looking to transition away from fossil fuel-based heating technologies.”
“Its ease of installation and operation, combined with it’s ability to meet larger capacity requirements, positions it as a compelling solution for customers seeking reliable, future-ready climate control systems.”

Simplified installation and flexible operation

The unit's monobloc design, with the refrigeration circuit integrated into a single outdoor unit, simplifies installation by requiring only hydraulic connections on site. This reduces installation complexity and commissioning time, helping contractors and building owners deliver projects more efficiently.

Designed with user comfort in mind, the system also offers quiet operation, with sound levels starting from 47 dB(A), and includes zone control functionality to support more precise temperature management across different areas of a building.

With this latest launch, Haier HVAC Solutions further strengthens its position in the professional heating and climate control market, delivering a solution that addresses some of the sector's most important priorities: energy efficiency, sustainability, lower operating costs and future-ready performance. Combining high-temperature heating, natural refrigerant technology and intelligent energy management, the new commercial ATW monobloc heat pump is designed to support the evolving needs of commercial buildings throughout Europe.
