Haier HVAC Delivers Efficient Climate Control for New Aphrodite Advertising House Offices in Cyprus
Project Overview
As part of the development of its new office building in Cyprus, Aphrodite Advertising House required a high-performance air conditioning solution to provide reliable and efficient cooling throughout the premises.
T.C. Multiklima Engineering Ltd was appointed to deliver the complete HVAC installation, working alongside main contractor GHP & Sons Metallika & Oikodomika Erga Ltd.
Haier HVAC equipment was selected to provide comfortable indoor conditions across the building's open-plan offices and conference room, combining high cooling capacity, energy-efficient operation and centralised system management.
The Challenge
The primary requirement was to deliver consistent cooling throughout the building, particularly during the demanding Cyprus summer months.
With large open-plan working areas, individual offices and a conference room, the system needed to provide even air distribution while allowing different areas to be controlled independently.
One of the main challenges was the positioning of the outdoor units. The building's steel structure and pitched sandwich-panel roof could not support the weight of the MRV equipment, while the surrounding ground-level space was allocated for car parking.
The installation therefore required an alternative solution that would accommodate the outdoor equipment without affecting the building's structure or reducing available parking space.

The Partner
T.C. Multiklima Engineering Ltd
T.C. Multiklima Engineering Ltd was responsible for the complete design, supply, installation and commissioning of the air conditioning systems at Aphrodite Advertising House.
With extensive experience in mechanical engineering and HVAC installations, the team worked closely with the main contractor to develop a practical solution that met the building's cooling requirements.
The project also required specialist engineering work to overcome the restrictions surrounding the positioning of the outdoor equipment.

The Haier Solution
A combination of Haier MRV high-capacity air conditioning systems and Revive wall-mounted split systems were selected to provide flexible cooling throughout the new office building.
The installation included:
- 2 x AV18IMVEVA MRV outdoor units (18 HP)
- 2 x AV20IMVEVA MRV outdoor units (20 HP)
- 2 x AB382MNERA 4-way cassette indoor units
- 14 x AB482MNERA 4-way cassette indoor units
- 2 x AS35RBAHRA / 1U35YESFRA-4 Revive split systems for the offices
- 3 x AS50RCBHRA / 1U50MERFRA-4 Revive split systems for the conference room
- 1 x HC-SA164DBT central controller for the MRV system
The four MRV outdoor units provide a combined nominal cooling capacity of approximately 212.8 kW (76 HP), supporting effective cooling across the building's larger working areas.
The Revive split systems provide dedicated climate control for the offices and conference room, while individual wired controllers allow temperatures to be adjusted according to the requirements of each area.
The MRV system is also connected to a single central controller, enabling convenient monitoring, scheduling and management from one location.
Installation
The positioning of the outdoor units presented the most significant installation challenge, as neither the roof nor the surrounding ground-level areas could accommodate the equipment.
To overcome this, Multiklima designed and constructed two heavy-duty steel platforms approximately four metres above ground level.
The platforms allowed all four MRV outdoor units and five Revive outdoor units to be installed without obstructing vehicle access or parking facilities. Their elevated position also provides additional protection against theft.
Specialist lifting equipment was used to position the units safely onto the platforms.
Multiklima completed the main installation works, including construction of the steel platforms, refrigerant pipework and installation of the equipment, within two months.
Final commissioning was completed approximately one year later, following the completion and handover of the building by the main contractor.
Why Haier?
Haier HVAC was selected for its combination of high cooling performance, energy efficiency and flexible system design.
The MRV system's Full DC Inverter technology allows cooling output to adjust according to demand, supporting efficient operation while maintaining comfortable indoor conditions.
The ability to connect multiple indoor units to a smaller number of outdoor modules also made Haier MRV technology particularly suitable for a building with limited space for external equipment.
Centralised control and the availability of local installation expertise and after-sales support from Multiklima provided additional reassurance throughout the project.
"Today the Haier system runs quietly and efficiently, and we control the whole building from one point. We would recommend them without hesitation."
We needed a reliable air-conditioning system for a building with special requirements, and T.C. Multiklima Engineering gave us the right solution from the very beginning. When it became clear that the units could be placed neither on the roof nor on the ground, they designed and built the steel platforms themselves, without affecting our car park at all, while also keeping the units safe from theft. Their cooperation with the main contractor was excellent, and the team was consistent, organised and always available. Today the Haier system runs quietly and efficiently, and we control the whole building from one point. We would recommend them without hesitation.

The Result
The completed installation provides Aphrodite Advertising House with a reliable and flexible air conditioning solution, supporting comfortable working conditions across its new office building.
With 21 indoor units and a combination of MRV and Revive systems, the installation allows different areas to benefit from dedicated climate control, while centralised management simplifies the operation of the MRV system.
The innovative installation of the outdoor units on purpose-built elevated platforms also ensured the building's parking facilities remained unaffected.
The project demonstrates how Haier HVAC technology, combined with Multiklima's engineering expertise, can deliver effective cooling solutions while overcoming the practical challenges associated with modern commercial developments.
